Celebrate Fort Roosevelt!
For decades, Fort Roosevelt was a two-acre ecological center and museum located on the grounds of Roosevelt Elementary School. The Fort is no longer in existence. But for long-time Hanford residents, Fort Roosevelt was a local landmark. The flim "Fort Roosevelt Requiem" chronicles the history of the Fort. For those of you who missed the film's premiere at the Hanford Fox Theater, you can buy a DVD copy of "Fort Roosevelt Requiem" and have it autographed by director David Dibble.
The Hanford Library is having a special event to meet filmmaker David Dibble and dedicated fort volunteer, Heidi Arroues and her friends to sign autographs and share stories. A preview of the documentary will be played along with DVDs for $10.00 each.
