ONE WORLD, MANY STORIES

Dear Families:

Come travel with us this summer at the Kings County Library! In 2011, we will present the Summer Reading Program One World, Many Stories. Reading takes you places and this summer we are going to explore many exciting destinations around the world!

Our goal is to retain children's reading skills through the summer. We encourage pleasure reading among children and their families. The program is recommended for children ages 4-12. Weekly shows are for family audiences.

Sign-up week is June 4-June 11, 2011. New members are accepted throughout the program. The Reading Program is seven weeks long, beginning Monday, June 13 and ending Saturday, July 30. Keep track of your reading in your Summer Reading Passport. Read 300 minutes, then visit us each week at the Library to get it stamped and receive a prize! Participate every week for a better shot at the grand prizes!

Families are invited to attend the awesome children's entertainment each week. Don't forget to pick up a 2011 Summer Entertainment Calendar!

The Summer Reading Program is made possible by the Kings County Library, BookBuddies, and the Friends of the Library. Prizes have been donated by generous local businesses. Please support them as they have supported us.

If you have any questions, please contact me at the library, 582.0262 ext. 111 or jennifer.riordan@kingscountylibrary.org
